A New Creative Expression
Welcome!
As some of you know the birthings of this website, classes and Etsy shop are the culmination of many hopes and dreams that I have had this past year.
Almost a year ago to the day, I was diagnosed with non-Hodgkins lymphoma, stage 4. Honestly, when my husband and I received the news I felt many different emotions and initially was in shock. The "c" word, as I like to refer to it, is impacting many and each one has his/her own story to tell and his/her own journey.
Much of my journey in the past year has been to honestly look at my life and reassess what is most important...separating the "wheat from the chaff" so to speak. Part of my journey has also been related to "reviving dry creative bones" that had been placed up on a shelf somewhere for too long.
Through creative expressions on canvas, paper, wood and tile I have been able to express a lot of full emotion. This has been very therapeutic and healing for me.
Much of the joy that you may see expressed through some of my paintings feels very full to me. I understand with more clarity how life may change in a moment and how precious each and every life is.
